“House” was a tad on the strange side last night, and “The Bachelor” chose Shayne Lamas, gave her the final rose and proposed to her. I like her but don’t see them making it to the altar. But this is the stuff television is made of these days.
My head was in such a mess last night I forgot to mention that Bill grilled kebobs, brats and a filet mignon steak yesterday. We ate the kebobs for dinner, and I had brats and sauerkraut for dinner tonight. And it’s a good thing he did the grilling yesterday since it is rainy today. At least my nose finally stopped giving me fits by time to go to bed. But the afternoon siege sure wiped me out. I waked in the middle of the night for awhile so I was sound asleep when Bill came in at 8:30 to see if I was going to Bible Study. I was too pooped to participate.
I spent some time this morning clearing off the leaf of the cutting table that hasn’t seen the light of day since before Christmas. Even more stuff wound up on it when I was clearing a path for Bill to get to the deck so he could grill my birthday dinner. In the process of rearranging things and peeking into bags I haven’t touched in who knows how long, I found a pattern for a knitting needle organizer like I’ve wanted to make. Yippee dooo…. I also unearthed the wall hanging that I worked on in Nancy Chong’s needle turn class at Shibori Dragon however long ago that was! So there is another UFO to finish.
I had one sleeve on the hoodie finished by 5:30 this afternoon. I took a break for dinner and called Ellen before tackling the other sleeve. She called on Mother’s Day while we were gone and the answering machine didn’t pick up. I found this out when she emailed me on Monday. After some sleuthing today I discovered that I had inadvertently hit the “Answer On” button on the base unit of the cordless phone thus turning it off. I have no idea how long it has been off. Oh well….
I’m going to get back to work on the hoodie. I don’t know that I can finish it before time to go to Guild tomorrow night. If not, it will keep till next month. Weatherwise, it has been drizzly today but the "sizzle" is supposed to be on the way for our Yarn Crawl adventure!
