It is another beautiful day on the lake. Doug took us for a boat ride on the lake this afternoon and that was great. Bill wasn't thrilled at the idea of getting on a boat after the horrendous experience on his recent fishing trip but he went. As I'm writing this,I can see Glacier Peak on the far end of the lake. There is still snow on top of it.
Doug grilled steaks for dinner last night. I haven't had a grilled steak in awhile so it seemed especially tasty. Bill and Doug were in bed by ten o'clock so us girls watched a cute movie called "Yours, Mine and Ours." This was a remake of one from some years back.
I was asleep before midnight again last night so I woke at seven this morning. I was the first one up. When Bill got up we tried to make coffee and wound up with coffee flooding the counter. Oops! We didn't watch Doug closely enough yesterday as he made coffee with this defective coffeepot. Despite that setback, we finally got some coffee to drink. By then Vanna (Claudia's mother) had surfaced along with Trudy.
Brunch was steak, eggs and hash browns using leftover steak and potatoes from last night's dinner. Dinner tonight will be grilled salmon so that should be a treat even though I'm not a big salmon fan. I suppose that is not the thing to say when you living in Washington state!
I'll get back to enjoying the sunshine and lake view.
