I dreamed that I got my hair cut and dyed blonde. If you haven’t seen a picture of me, I will tell you that I have brown hair. Bill said “don’t take that as a sign from God.”
I finally got to work on the back of Trudy’s throw today. When it was done, I cut the batting and worked at sandwiching the pieces. I couldn’t figure out why it was so much harder than when I did Marie’s quilt. I sat down and looked through the quilting instructions again and realized that I was supposed to make the back and the batting 3” larger on each side than the top. Phooey! I had forgotten that. So I unpinned it all and tomorrow I’ll have to regroup.
I stopped moaning over my flub at 5:30 and grabbed a bite of dinner before getting ready to head off for rehearsal at church. Debi played the piano tonight and I got to play keyboard. Yippeeee….
I’ve been bordering on a “funk” today. Debi called me this morning and she had the same problem. Is it something in the air? I told Bill tonight I’m tired of being fat. A 20 pound weight gain is fat to me even if it isn’t as much as I weighed before I lost a bunch back in 2001. He immediately asked “Are you still knitting?” He is obviously gauging how bad off I am by whether I knit or not. Too funny…
When I got home, Bill noticed me rubbing my left hip. I mentioned recently that it has been hurting. Nadine and I talked about this yesterday. She was having a similar problem and the doctor said it was bursitis. In light of my “fat” comment this evening, Bill told me to go back on Weight Watcher’s, lose the weight and see if it is still hurting. I think he is REALLY worried I’m going to quit knitting – a sure sign something is seriously wrong.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day!
When we are best at ease, when all things go with us according to our will and pleasure,
then we are commonly furthest from God. - Hugh Latimer
