I dragged out of bed a little before 9:30 this morning. Bill said he was on the verge of coming in to see if I was still alive since it is almost unheard of for me to sleep past nine o’clock. He said that when I did not knit in the car yesterday, it was like when Clint had a spell where he wouldn’t eat and we knew something was terribly wrong. If I don’t knit, Bill thinks something is terribly wrong. Too funny – or not…. Anyway, I feel much better today. The allergies are still bothering me. I suppose before all is said and done I’ll have to go back on the Flonase.
I managed to find sheet music for that one song with no music from rehearsal. I’m struggling with an attitude adjustment, as suggested by Wanda, since I really do NOT want to play the piano. I’m old…..I’m tired…...Life hasn’t been a bowl of cherries. I now want to do what I want to do. Is that a BAD thing?
I’m almost done with the shirt on the bear. I mailed off Linda’s Hawaii towel and cat mini magnet quilt today and told her she’d get another gift when I got it finished. I sent her a gift card from Sears the other day. I had to call Sears to figure out how to work the thing online. Sears is her favorite place to shop so I aim to please!
Bill said when he came home from his errands he sat on the road below the house for a few minutes and watched a couple of quail. That’s the first ones we’ve seen this summer and no babies so far. The hummingbirds have disappeared for the moment but no shortage of ants trying to get to the sugar water in the feeder!
I finally found a piece of fabric with some large butterflies and ordered it today. They also had the back and front panels for a hummingbird pillow so I also got that.
And life goes on…..
Christ has no hands but our hands to do His work today;
He has no feet but our feet to lead men in His way;
He has no tongue but our tongue to tell men how He died;
He has no help but our help to bring them to His side. —Flint
