Today has mostly been a finishing day. It took awhile to get through the business of the day and when I got back to the factory I re-sewed a potholder onto a towel that wasn’t “perfect” enough to suit me. It and a special type of kitchen rag will be my exchange gift for the luncheon on Friday if we don’t get snowed out. Since I was set up for sewing I tackled the job of putting the missing Velcro pieces on the spa wrap. I was whipping right along and then I realized that I put the first two pieces in the wrong place. I took them off and got them properly placed. Then it was time to finish up Deanna’s gift as seen here.
Bill brought me a crab today and I had that for dinner tonight. I haven’t had one in quite awhile so that was a real treat. He went to the grocery store today and got a tray of deviled eggs for me to take to the Knit Guild Christmas potluck tomorrow night. I was going to get a bowl of salad from Lisa’s deli but she wanted $25 and that was a tad more than I intended to spend on this outing.
Nancy wrote today to thank me for the angels. She was writing notes to each of her siblings and said: “I am trying to write each one a card today, and will send the angels with a special (personal) note as I am reminded of how each one has touched my life.”
So now I’m off to see if I can finish knitting one more hat to turn in for the guild meeting. I only have two so far. I’d rather knit on the scarf but first things first.
