I never got around to watching a movie last night as I was just too tired. I chatted with Wanda for awhile and by time we wound down I was ready to call it a night. I got word from Barbara that Craig’s Dad came and picked him up so they are probably basking in the hot son by now while we sit here anticipating a big storm heading in Saturday night and into Sunday.
When I got up at 5:30 and went in to take my thyroid pill, Bill had already been up and turned the heat on. I went back and slept until 7:30. By then we’d had another inch or so of new snow. Bill bought crescent rolls and little smokies the other day so I made pigs in a blanket, something I’ve never done before. By then the sun was shining and it was a crisp, beautiful 20° outside. Betty (William’s grandmother) called to ask for a ride into Key Center but Bill told her he couldn’t get out. He would have to chain up and might still not be able to make it.
I knit along on the blue sweater for William but finally decided it was going to be way too big for now and now is when he needs something warm! So now I’m on plan 3, a top down yoke pullover. While I messed around with that I embroidered a few things to put into Christmas cards for the music team. Speaking of the music team, I just learned that Kendra’s father passed away yesterday. Evidently he took a sudden turn for the worse. Don said he basically just went to sleep. If you have to go, that is definitely the way to do it.
I’m going to try and get to the movie tonight. It is early so I haven’t hit “tired” yet. Linda checked in tonight after I sent her the snow pictures taken with my new camera. I’m also trying to clean up all the email that has piled up. I have waaaay too much of it coming in every day!
Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy. - unknown
