We never got much in the way of a storm yesterday except for some wind and rain. We saw a few downed trees hither and yon. We had some sunshine today but Wanda reported that it was snowing big time there. I told her “better thee than me.” According to my “Calendar Pal” it is 30° at 8:10 p.m. and feels like 24° and I’m glad I’m not out in it! I hope the roads aren’t icy in the morning when it is time to drive to church.
The company that called me at 7:15 yesterday morning woke me again this morning. Yesterday it was the shipping department. Today it was the billing department. I told them if they have to call again to please not wake me up. Of course, she was all apologetic. So I got up and started my day. I got to work as quickly as possible and finished stitching out a couple of kitchen towels.
Bill was out putting lights in the well house and pump house this morning in preparation for the coming frigid weather. I did the mail run and then he took off for the Tacoma Rescue Mission with another carload of stuff. Nadine came over while he was gone and Bill got home not long after she left. I spent some time evening looking for some pansies to put on a bath and hand towel for Dawn. I finally found something I liked but by then I was tired and didn’t want to start something like that. I did stitch out another kitchen towel for a friend’s Christmas gift.
Then I called it quits for the day and cooked the lobster tails. Bill was kind enough to leave most of it for me. Of course, he ate out today while he was gone. The lobster fell into the “what there was of it was good” category. Now I’m off to watch a movie and knit on Debi’s scarf. It is about 23 inches long so far so I’m perking right along.
Oh yes, I heard from Myra today who is in Mexico with her husband Serafin for Christmas. She wrote: I’m in a tank top and it is great. Probably 75° or so & sunny. We are at a Christmas party with Serafin´s brother in a town called Soledad. The party is for the papaya packers. We ate some kind of soup with an unknown meat in it (I just ate the veggies) and then some barbequed beef in soup. Serafin & I took a walk and saw the internet place. Thought I’d check in. I need to look at your weather. Our house looks great. I can’t believe how all the plants and trees have grown. The bougainvillea is blooming like crazy. I’ll be taking lots of photos.
Without Christ we can do nothing.
With Him we can do everything He wants us to do.
