It was one before I got to bed this morning. I was watching movies while knitting on hats. As a result I didn’t roll out of bed until nine this morning since I wasn’t scheduled to play for church. Bill asked me about going to Tanglewood Grill for breakfast so we left here about 9:45. I ordered the seafood omelet in the hopes it might be less points than one with ham, bacon, etc. It came with a blueberry pancake so I left off the butter and syrup and mostly ate the part where the blueberries were. It probably had 1/3 cup or more of berries!
Harbor Quilt called the other day to say my “Lickety Split” quilt book was in so we went by there before heading home. It was about 20 minutes before time for them to open so we went to The Birdsnest on the opposite corner and perused the arts and crafts in there. At noon I went back to Harbor Quilts and got my book and a quilt template for a pattern I have. Then we went downstairs to the fine art division of The Birdsnest where painting sold for up to $3950. Needless to say, we weren’t buying anything there!
We got home just ahead of the rain. I sat here and listened to the rain while hand stitching around stars on a baby quilt. I tried to do it on the sewing machine but it was hard maneuvering all that fabric to turn at every point and corner of a star! Faster and easier to hand stitch and it will serve adequately for quilting the blanket. I think I can finish that part tonight and move onto the binding tomorrow.
I cast on a new hat before we left for breakfast. By time we got home I had four inches knit! I’m up to about 228 total for the year. And now it is time to resume stitching.
There never seems to be enough time to do all the things that need to be done. Get busy doing them anyway. And while you're at it, throw in a few things you truly want to do, along with all those things you need to do. Then forget about how much time you do or do not have, and just start making use of that time.
