Angel: I was posting an entry at the time you came over to my journal. Please take a second look...
Angel: No entry for today...As if I really expected there to be. Just want to let you know, Carol, that I've thought about you and about Clint today. A year ago - yes, the time has seemed to have flown by. You were (are!) a special mother and Clint, of course, was special, as well. God's special gift to all of us. You're in my prayers today.

FrenchAdamFan: Hi ! I've just discovered yours and Clint's journal. Clint was a beautiful boy. You can be proud with him.Take care.
Leah: hello there. just dropping by Light and Love to you
Angel: We had those kind of birds in a humongous flock a few days ago...It is kind of eerie, isn't it?! As always, viewing the pics on your journal and reading of Clint is very enjoyable. Of course, I come here to learn of how you're doing, also... Bless you, Carol!
Alaine: oh...and as for Clint's age. You really did have him for 31 years if you count your pregnancy :)
Alaine: I don't think you need to let go. Moving on with life is much more important than letting go and I think you are doing just fine. I still cry for my best friend that I lost 15 years ago. It wouldn't be human to "let go". And you know you will see Clint again. And I think in Heaven Clint is not feeling time as we do so he isn't sad at all. You have the rest of Eternity to be with your baby boy. ((((carol))))
jan: Carol, you don't have to let go. You are still going through the grieving process. I lost my sister two years ago and can still sit down and bawl because I still miss her so much . It doesn't hurt as bad now, but like you the memories of things she did, mannerisms and her favorite things still bring the heavy feeling of loss to my heart. With time we will experience less pain and more joy in the memories.
eric: Dear friend, come and leave a blessing for
Moonie: Was out journal jumping and came across yours. Very nice place you have here and I really enjoyed learning more about you and the fam. I'll return when I can spend a bit more time. Take care and have a good day.
jr: sorry you had a bad day
sparkle: Just in the neighbourhood and saying hello on the way
Angel: continued... doctrine says otherwise. She was the "child"of our hearts and we take comfort in knowing that we will see her again one day. I'll be back again soon...I love reading your entries and seeing the pics of Clint!
Angel: Your entry of 8/21 answered some questions for me, too, Carol. I am a born-again Christian, though I have strayed off the course a few times. I don't always agree with what some doctrines (churches) teach, not even my own, but I feel that whatever causes us to be more hopeful is okay. (Within the Christian perspective, of course.) For instance, when we lost our beloved furchild, our pastor told us that animals do not go to Heaven. We are comforted in thinking she is there, even though our church
Angel: I'm always thinking of you, Carol, and keeping you in my prayers. I need your prayers now, too, for some physical problems I'm having. Tests coming up this Tuesday... Take care, my friend, and I'll see you again soon.
eric: Hope it's well!
Aidan: I was just out blog hopping and had to say hello. I hope that this finds you doing well!
Sharry: I followed your link in Carol's Cute Freebies yahoo group and i am glad i did. You are a very eloquent person and you and your son touched my heart and made me weep. I hope you are doing alright, you are in my heart and my thoughts.
RAINBOW: Hi Carol, My son died (suddenly) 2 1/2 years ago. I have a link on my Journal where I wrote about my feelings when I first heard that he was killed. Please stop by. I also have a fireworks display.

Please type in the four characters shown in the black box.

Another Long Day

When I got up this morning my plans were to see the doctor at 11:20, do the usual errands and come home and at least finish my pumpkin basket.  Guess again!  Bill decided to go with me, although he didn't go into the doc's office this time.  The doc said I am much better but it isn't completely cleared up yet.  He said that he didn't tell me the other day that this is usually treated in the hospital.  I told him I figured that out after what I read on the internet!  He says I apparently got in fast enough to keep it from getting bad before I knew what hit me.  Thank God for that!  Since I'm going out of town next week, he gave me a prescription for a different antibiotic and said to fill it and take it if there was any signs of it when I finish the current round.  He said we have to get this knocked out!  Yippeee dooo...  Jeff told me tonight he had this once and he had the worst head pain he's ever experienced in his life.  Thank God again I escaped that!!!
When I was done with the doctor, Bill suggested I call the cleaners and see if my jacket was ready so we could pick it up today since we were already out and about.  I called and apparently he had as much trouble understanding me as I did him.  He said they would look and call me back in about ten minutes.  We waited a bit and finally went into the grocery store.  We were back in the car before the phone rang and I had to spell my name again to a lady – several times!  She called back as we drove home and said they couldn’t find my order.  I gave them the number on the ticket – again!  She hung up.  A few minutes later she called back and said the jacket was ready!
We dropped the groceries off at the house, I took my antibiotic and we headed for Gig Harbor.  We picked up the jacket, stopped by the bank and then went for lunch.  We won’t even talk about my diet after DAYS of eating out this week!  I had a tasty beef soup and a black bean quesadilla while Bill enjoyed a Reuben sandwich.  By time we eventually made it home, it was after four o’clock.  I was tired so I took it easy since I had to leave at 6:15 for rehearsal.  I spent the time working on a new baby blanket I hope to take as a project for the knitting retreat.  I wanted to make sure I can do it and that I’m going to like it.  I’m skeptical after the thermal blanket fiasco!
Rehearsal sounded a lot like chaos tonight but we finally pulled it together in the final run through.  Thank goodness for the pre-church rehearsal on Sunday morning!  Before we started, Larry, the former team leader, talked about the upcoming Christian Musician Summit Nov 9-11.  He read off the names of those who were going and I was shocked when he called out my name.  I’ve heard Debi talking about it but had no idea it was something I was supposed to be involved in.  Turns out the church sends the music team but no one had mentioned it to me.  Bill will be thrilled to hear this after my being gone to the knitting retreat the week before.  It looks like I can room with three other gals on Friday night and then come home Saturday night after the concert, or whenever I can catch a ride with someone headed this way.
It’s getting close to bedtime finally and it has been another long day.  I sincerely hope I’m home for tomorrow as I’m tired of going.  Nadine did check in this afternoon so everyone is home from their travels for now.
