It was a bit of shock to hear the doctor say I have a bacterial infection called cellulitis on the right side of my head! Although from what I’ve read since I got home, when it is on the face it is called erysipelas. At any rate, he started me on an antibiotic. When he made a point of telling me to call if it got worse and that he wanted to see me Thursday or Friday, I got the idea that this wasn’t something to mess around with and what I’ve read indicates it “can” be a life threatening condition. Thank goodness that I’m basically healthy! That should work in my favor.
We picked up my medicine and then went to Lennard K’s at Allyn for lunch. Bill wanted a steak lunch since he was told not to eat dinner tonight with the ultrasound coming up tomorrow. So he’s restricted to Jell-O, broth, etc., till mid-night and NPO (nothing by mouth) after that. I was tired this afternoon so I didn’t even try to do anything except take it easy. My temp started going back up at six and was still on the rise at 8:30 despite a couple of aspirin and it seems like the pain has spread to a larger area. I have the matter on the prayer chain at church, and the ladies in my Bible Study group will pray about it tomorrow. I’m a great believer in the power of prayer.
While we were in the drug store Bill bought a couple of packs of Silly Putty for Ronaldo and Jhon. I found a book for Reign called “How to be Princess in 7 days or less.” It is the cutest thing and will go great with the Princess wall hanging I want to make her for Christmas. I put a link to it below. I’ve also added the latest two hats into the photo album.
I’ve had enough of this day so I think I’ll move along.
