I had such high hopes for a very productive day but that was certainly not the case! I got up a little before eight and by 9:30 I was at the embroidery machine stitching out a hummingbird sun catcher as a birthday present for Sonya. I didn’t have a thread color sheet to work from so I had a problem with the colors from the outset, and then I had trouble with the thread shredding. A new needle took care of that problem. I finished stitching it out, rinsed it to wash out the stabilizer, and the little hanger on the top came apart. Bah humbug! With one thing and another it has taken me till after three to stitch out a 36 minute design!

Ok, so that didn’t work. Moving right along to Plan 2, I stitched out the base for a hummingbird and fuchsia lace bowl as seen here. When that stitched out without a hitch I thought “Wow, there is hope.” So I started the first of six sides for the bowl. It takes about 34 minutes just to stitch out the white part. I stitched out the leaves and when I was done with that, it was after 6:30. I seriously thought about stopping for the night but I only had about 21 minutes left to do, so I plodded on. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Somehow I jumped ahead in the design and stitched out the wrong color. It would take me longer to rip it out than to redo, even if I could do that without messing up all that white stitching so into the trash can it went.
I came out and fixed some chicken, mushrooms and salad for dinner. This was another one of those days where earlier on I couldn’t get warm. I finally checked my blood pressure and it was 94/53. Bill was alarmed by that but I told him some people just run low and I’m one of them. OK, so I don’t necessarily run THAT low all the time, but when I asked Dr. Roes about my 100/43 a couple of years ago, he didn’t seem overly concerned. I guess as long as you aren’t lightheaded, dizzy, etc., it isn’t a major concern. We were talking about this at lunch yesterday and Judy mentioned a friend who has some condition where her hands are cold all the time to the point of losing feeling in them. This friend was told to eat red pepper flakes to stimulate metabolism and it has worked to keep her warmer. I put some cayenne pepper on my tuna fish and cottage cheese at lunch. Don’t know if that helped or not but I did eventually warm up.
As I was eating lunch today Bill mentioned going to Gino’s for dinner with our 2 for 1 coupon. I told him it would have to be tomorrow night because I had already been eating today with no knowledge of going out to eat. So we are going there for dinner tomorrow. I have already checked out the menu and decided on my best choice for a meal that won’t do me in. I’ll have to eat mostly no point stuff all day before that. Going out to dinner on Thursday night may not be a good choice since weigh in is Friday morning. We’ll see….
Here are pictures of the two baby sweaters I knit. I hope Eileen had a boy with the cute “medical bear” on the blue one. The design on the pink sweater is one I got to put on Clint’s memory quilt. It says "Mommy Means Love" in case it doesn't show up very well here.

That’s about it for today. I finished knitting another Madrona hat amidst all my embroidery miseries and started another one. I’m starting a new album for the Madrona stuff and will have that link another time.
