Yum, yum! That would be my blackberry ice cream I’m referring to. I’m just home from rehearsal. It has cooled back down to 61° outside so I had to bundle up in my sweatpants, sweater and wool socks to eat the ice cream. Since I’ve been dieting I can’t keep warm!
I call it an alarming day because the fellows came and installed our alarm system today. They came around eleven, I think, and it was after 2:30 by time they left. Bill left soon after to do the mail run so I set the alarm for my “home alone” mode and told Bill to knock when he got back. There is also a motion sensor in the hall in the event someone would come through a window and not set off the door alarms. Hopefully the signs will deter anyone from trying to gain entry.
While all this was going on, I tried to stay out of the way by working on a jacket block in the sewing room. I got one done and on closer inspection realized I didn’t have the lines straight to make a nice tidy square block. So I ripped it out and started again. I got two rounds done and it was already trying to get “off” again. I would consider reverting to the log cabin pattern except I would have to make another trip to the fabric store so that kills that idea. I don’t think I’ll be making another one of these jackets or at least not with this type of design on the sleeves. Oh well, I’ll try again tomorrow. I’m having fun, right?!?
When time gets through with all of us, we'll gaze into the mirror and either laugh or cry. Since "A merry heart does good like medicine" (Proverbs 17:22), and since God's prepared a wonderful new body for us in heaven, make up your mind to go out with joy! - Bob Gass Ministries
