I just got off the phone with Ellie. George got home today. Not because they wanted him to leave but because he threatened to walk out if they didn’t. Once he was home he was off walking around the property and then he wanted hot sauce with his meal. This for the man on a no sodium diet. Ellie is going to have her hands full for sure! Their daughter flies in tomorrow so maybe she can keep him in check while she is here for a week and give him a little time to heal up.
I spent the morning reading and knitting on the thermal blanket. It is back up to 2 1/2 inches long. I started a couple of hats to work on if we went anywhere and we eventually decided to take a ride and then went for dinner at Lennard K’s. Bill had their Oriental chicken salad and I went for a deluxe cheeseburger. I’m not sure what was “deluxe” about it since the meat patty was barely a quarter inch thick. At least it was tasty. We left there and went for our usual walk on the pier then headed home, stopping off at the corner gas station for a Nutty Buddy.
Bill is listening to some rock and roll movie so I’ll put on one of the ones I got from the library today and drown that out. I have to get up at 6:30 tomorrow so I don’t want to be up late tonight.
Sometimes when we are waiting for God to speak,
He is waiting for us to listen. – Martha Bolton
