Reached over to turn off the alarm when it went off at nine o'clock and realized it was the phone ringing! I got up and started my day.
11:15 a.m. Tackling quilt again. Stitching in ditch around contrast fabric.
11:42a.m. Continue watching ebay light bulb auction due to end at 11:52:57. High bid at the moment $8.00 for a $29.99 bulb
11:43 a.m. Search for the black invisible thread I bought on Sunday. Find it and begin stitch in ditch around black border while keeping an eye on light bulb auction.
11:53 Missed out on auction by a few sections. Not fast enough on the draw here. Guess I wasn't supposed to get that light bulb. Back to sewing.
11:59 Finished stitching first long side, now moving on to the bottom.
12:03 Around the corner and up on the other long side. On a roll....
12:12 Finishing stitch in the ditch around the black border.
12:08 Around the last corner and across the top.
5:09 Finished sewing on binding. Now to work on label and tack down binding.
It was 8 o’clock by time I finished embroidering the label. I tried to call Marie and see what happened from last night when she called. No answer at either phone number so left messages on both. Ate a little biongu. I wasn’t really even hungry. Maybe if I work hard like this all the time I won’t be hungry and will lost weight that way. Ann said I should take up construction work as it has helped her slim down. Don’t think that is going to happen.
Wanda sent me a picture of her kindergarten class today that she had gotten from a classmate she has made contact with again after a bunch of years. It is such fun to see those old pictures. It reminded me of one where I was in Vacation Bible School, I think it was, and we were all lined up out front. I must have been four or five at the time.
I need to get busy tacking down this quilt binding so I’m outta here for tonight. We’re off tomorrow to take Trudy out for her birthday “do” so I could be late getting here tomorrow night.
Difficulties are God's errands; and when we are sent upon them we should esteem it a proof of God's confidence- as a compliment from God. - Henry Ward Beecher
