I’m home late tonight from rehearsal at church. We had the new leader plus more singers than usual and a piano player besides me on the keyboard. Then there was lots of music that was unfamiliar to me and the pianist. It was a bit of a challenge. The pianist can not hear me at all. I could hear her and had a bass guitar thumping in my ear until I got a headache. The sound guys kept telling me the guitars were turned off on my monitor and I kept saying I could hear him. They finally realized that I was hearing him through some other black box sitting there. Fun, fun! Before we left, Cindy told me she will not be there next week so that means I’ll have to play the piano instead of the keyboard. Bah humbug!
It was almost ten by time I got home from church. Nadine had called and I knew she would want to know about George so I called Ellie first. George is scheduled for surgery at 7:30 in the morning. Apparently there is some question as to what shape George’s heart is in that they won’t know till they get in there. They may have to go in again in a week or so.
Mary called today since she had to cut our conversation short last night. They are headed to the beach this week for a family reunion with everyone present for the first time in ages. That should be a treat for them.
I finished hat # 200 today. Ellie asked me if I would stop. Well…. The latest hats are in the Photo Album. I cogitated on things for my sister’s birthday and I think I have a plan for that. Bill’s mother called today. We’ll get together with her on August 23 for an outing. We’re working on Plan 1 (no rain) and Plan 2 (rain). Bill’s daughter also called and he told her all about his fishing trip. I guess we won’t be taking an Alaskan cruise after Dawn told him about her trip where the five adults in her party got really ill. Oh well…..
