The movie I watched last night called “Just Like Heaven” was cute. The phone rang at 8:45 this morning and it was Ellie telling me she wasn’t ready to go. Since I was still in bed I wasn’t ready to go either. We finally decided I would arrive at her house about 10:30 and she would drive to Patti’s house. When I got to her house at 10:30 she still hadn’t gotten into the shower yet, so it was elevenish by time we left there.
We had a nice visit with Patti. She fixed veggie lasagna for lunch with salad and watermelon. It was great. About three we took off and went to Evergreen Quilting. Patti was the big spender there. We signed up for their monthly drawing. I don’t usually win anything like that so I won’t hold my breath. From there we went to Michael’s in search of yarn to match some Ann gave me that I ran out of in the middle of the hat. I couldn’t find the same yarn but got some that will blend with it for one of the hats. Next stop was Artco where I found a yarn to use with a second hat where I ran out of the original yarn.
Ellie dropped me off at home around 5:30. We had a grand day. I called Mary and told her about George. Then I heated up some sherried rabbit for din din. Nadine called in the middle of that and we chatted for a bit. After dinner I called George. I gave him a hard time and told him he is going to live another day for me to harass him or vice versa. Then I called Deanna to let her know about George and we caught up on our news. Next I called Carol V and let her know what is going on.
So that is my excitement for the day. Is it bedtime yet?
Heaven is not here, it's there. If we were given all we wanted here, our hearts would settle for this world rather than the next. God is forever luring us up and away from this one, wooing us to Himself and His still invisible kingdom, where we will certainly find what we so keenly long for. - Elisabeth Elliot
