I watched a cute movie last night called “In Her Shoes” about two sisters – one a flirty, flaky party girl and the other a plain, dependable lawyer - who had a major falling out. “Together they travel(ed) a bumpy road toward making peace with each other and themselves.”
Seanet was still MIA when the movie got done just after 10:30 so I continued knitting on the Philosopher’s sweater. I was knitting on Row 44 of 72 rows in the yoke at this point. I eventually got to bed, passed the night and was up and going at 8:30 this morning. It has been a busy day. I got the Fiber Friends newsletter done for the knit/crochet group at church and sent that out to everyone who has email. I knit along on the Philosopher’s sweater but am only on Row 46. I got notice from Knitpicks that they just shipped my order today. I’m definitely going to need the 40” cable before I increase to the 364 stitches on Row 52.
Bill called Beth this morning and left a message. I called tonight and left a message. Nothing! They must not know how to retrieve messages. So we don’t know what is going on there. Nephew Jeremy is busy trying to find a house for them to rent. I spent some time on Craig’s list tonight getting him some places to look at.
I sorta halfway watched “The Batchelor” tonight. He is down to three women now. And I watched the last 20 minutes or so of the movie “Three Men and a Baby” that Bill was watching. Since I was sitting here at the dining room table I could hear what was going on so I just went over to watch when it got on towards the end.
Barbara called about four this afternoon. She was on her cell phone and in Key Center. She was unable to go home because there was a major wreck right in front of the road into her house! It was going on six before she could finally go home. We don’t know many particulars at this point. The most obvious thing would be that someone was coming out of her road and was hit by a car coming along the highway. She lives right on a curve and it is just an accident waiting to happen when you pull out. Unless there are two people in the car, it is much safer to go right, go down the road and turn around and come back if you’re going into Key Center. Even if no one is coming on the left when you look, by time you look to the right someone can be bearing down upon you from the right. The only time to make a left turn is when there are two people in the car to watch in both directions. The other thing that creates a problem is gravel on the road that causes the tires to spin when taking off. Not a good situation! While I feel badly for whoever was involved, I’m thankful it wasn’t Barbara!
About time to call it a night!
