Bill got up first so I gave the house time to warm up and the coffee to get done before I crawled out from the warmth of the covers. Bill left about 10:30 for the mail. He dropped that back by the house and went into Tacoma for a 1st Cavalry veterans meeting at noon. While he was gone I used the DVD player to watch movie “Lucky Seven” that wouldn’t open with either computer. It was a nice little romantic movie.
I finished a hat while watching the movie and started another one. I was done with the movie by one so I opened up Excel and got back to work on the Philosopher’s sweater. I have seven inches knit on the yoke now. It would be nice to finish the yoke before I leave on Wednesday but that might not be doable. It takes so long to get around a row with all these stitches on the needle! I finally did the increase to 312 stitches about six this evening. I got sidetracked looking at the menu for The Bite restaurant at the hotel and its high prices. Barbara recalled that the hotel was going to provide a breakfast buffet and lunch for us. Hopefully that will be more reasonable.
After that I decided to call the hotel and confirm the reservations that Julianne made. I gave them Julianne’s name and the gal could only come up with one room. Nothing under my name or Barbara’s name. I called Barbara. She called Julianne who called someone and assured Barbara we have two rooms. I finally got two sets of numbers so I called and talked to Elizabeth at the hotel again. The first number went through fine. The second number didn’t. She said she would research it and call me back. She called back and it turned out one room was under Owen and one under Owens so I told her it is just Owen. Anyway, I got the other confirmation number and called Barbara back to tell her to have Julianne call Elizabeth and both our names to both rooms. Now all that is settled so I can sleep tonight.
I’m outta here for tonight. I need to call Beth since I haven’t talked to her today.
Perhaps your world has crashed around you. It may be a deeply personal loss, a tragedy in your family, or some other great trial. Jesus’ resurrection proved that He is greater than the greatest obstacles. He can rebuild your life—starting today. — C. P. Hia
