I had an amusing dream last night. I was with Clint in the car and he was driving which, of course, never happened in real life. We came to a place where we stopped and he didn’t stop soon enough. He backed up but was too close to a truck next to us on his side and scraped it. Everyone got out and I explained to the guy in the truck about Clint – how he was handicapped, he could drive but didn’t understand the concept of being too close to the next vehicle. I was wondering yesterday why my hands had been hurting me recently. As I was driving to church last night it suddenly occurred to me that I haven’t been taking my glucosamine and chondroitin pills. I checked when I got home and sure enough, the last time I filled my pill box I put one capsule instead of the four you need for a daily dose. Duh…. Amazing what a difference it makes and how quickly I can tell a difference!
I tried to get in touch with Beth again this morning with no luck. I left a message on the apartment phone and the cell phone. Before we headed out I called the hospital to make sure Bill hadn’t been re-admitted to the hospital. I finally remembered that I had entered Jason’s cell phone into our cell phone address book so I called him. I no more than said who I was and he said “Gotta go.” That aggravated me big time! A few minutes later Beth called back and said that he was driving so I took back all I had muttered. They were on their way to the hospital for another blood draw. I talked with Beth again tonight and they did see one of the residents today to inquire about other things like the swollen feet which he said was normal. Ok…..
We left just after 12:30 today and went into Key Center for the mail, stopped at the bank so I could get some spending money for Madrona, and then headed for church. I went into the office and signed the Ministry Application form I sent them by email the other day. Now the new knitting and crochet group Fiber Friends is all official.
We went over to the foyer in the sanctuary and signed in to have our pictures taken. Phil and Nancy were there so I had a chance to chat with Nancy before they headed off for her radiation treatment. We finally got in before the camera and the lady took numerous photos. When she took one where one of us blinked, she was able to erase and retake it. The marvel of digital cameras! Once we were done, she took us over to the computer and we selected the photo that would go into the church directory. That was also the one we got a free 8x10 of and anything else we wanted was various prices. I had thought about a couple of 8 x 10’s but they wanted $25 for each one. So I asked about 5x7’s and they wanted $25 for each of those. We finally settled on a sheet of four 3x5’s plus a set of the proofs. We also chose a mat for our 8x10 photo. By time we were done we had kissed almost $90 goodbye! What a racket! But I don’t ever expect to do this again so we’ll have a picture to send to Dawn, Bill’s mother, my sister Linda and Clint’s sister Ellen.
We went to Massimo’s for lunch. Bill had a Mediterranean chicken dish that was very tasty. I had Cannelloni Di Carne filled with beef, spinach, garlic, ricotta and parmesan and topped with cream sauce. It was very disappointing and I told the waiter I would never order it again. He told Massimo who sought to sooth me with a tiramisu dessert.
We stopped off at Barbara’s on the way home to drop off some Madrona stuff. It gave her an opportunity to show Bill the picture of her Dad on the camel in Egypt. She told him a little bit about the liberty ship he served on. It was very interesting.

When I got home I finally finished the Kyler cardigan. Yippeeeee…. I’ve never been so glad to have a project over and done with! Now I’m about ready to hit the sack. It seems like it has been along day!
You may not be perfect, but you are perfectly loved by God.
