I guess losing the list is one way to whittle it down to nothing because then you can’t remember what you had left to do. I made significant inroads in whittling it down today but now I can’t find it to see what few things still need doing? I sent in the Marathon thread order for the “girls” today. I updated the donation list for Madrona and sent that off so Suzanne can write thank you notes. That was my last duty for this year’s Madrona and I’m off the hook until next year except for knitting more things for next year’s Charity Night.
I talked to Barbara tonight. She is off to the oral surgeon tomorrow to have the second stage of her tooth implant done. The dentist assured her the worst is behind her. Uh huh… Oh, I finally spied my list. I stuck it in the phone book to mark a page. Duh… I want to cancel the Callwave that I got years ago when I only had one phone line. I kept it because of the incoming fax feature but I don’t get enough faxes a month to warrant the expense. I attempted to configure my computer to receive faxes and thought I had it done. The phone rang and it was Beth and the fax thing started making noises.
We hung up and I disabled that and called her back.
Bill was talking to her last night and hung up but she said she thought she was waiting for me to come on the line and she could hear coughing, etc. She finally hung up. Weird… Anyway, they got a call early this morning for her Bill to go in for a CT scan and they found he has fluid under his lungs. I guess that is better than in the lungs. He’ll go in to have it drained off later in the week and it sounds like they are going to put four chest tubes in again. Unfortunately, his pulmonary function which was up around 71% the first time they checked it after surgery is now down to 51-54%. I suppose the fluid could impact that so I hope they get it figured out and going back in the other direction really soon!
I also called Nadine tonight and we agreed it would be a good idea to take our lunches to Sew Expo on Friday instead of fighting the long lines at the food stands. So now I have to figure out what to take that won’t need refrigeration and won’t weigh much for hauling around all morning. There are going to be 200 plus vendors! Since I’m taking four classes I may need to make a list of any vendors I definitely want to visit along with their location and have that as a map to follow. It is really more than you can comfortably do in a day but I don’t care to drag it out to two days.
With that I notice that the yawning has set in so I guess I’ll go to bed. At least I got past this afternoon without getting sleepy for the first time in a week. That is progress!
