I texted with Beth until just after eleven last night before Bill finally converted back to a normal heartbeat – without cardioversion this time, thank goodness. Got up at eight this morning to half an inch of snow. By 12:30 we had sleety rain but not enough to wash away the snow just yet. Hopefully that is all we are going to see!
I spent the day doing various and assundry things. A lot of it was working on orders. I no more than finished with one when another one came in. I don’t guess I can complain about that, however. I filled out the paperwork I have to turn into the church for our knit/crochet group. I typed up a questionnaire for the group to fill out tomorrow so I can get a handle on who does what, their level of knitting or crocheting, and what they are interested in doing, etc. It sounds like it will be a good time for all of us when we get going!
Beth sent a picture of Bill’s “new friend” – one of those gigantic pill boxes like Clint had. I don’t know how many pills he will be taking a day when all is said and done but so far it has been a goodly number. They had Bill up walking today. He is having some confusion even though he is mostly off the pain meds. This afternoon he wanted to know if we were gone and who was driving the bus. Ok…. Doctor didn’t seem to think this was medicine related but maybe sleep deprivation. I guess time will tell.
Debi called tonight. She said that last Thursday her school class was talking about the respiratory system so she told them that a friend’s cousin was having a double lung transplant. After they talked about it, they stopped and prayed for Bill – something they could do in a church school. I told Beth about it and that made her feel good. She’ll share the story with Bill.
Last year one of the Madrona vendors gave me a kit to make a sweater for charity. Since it is an adult sweater, I’ve put it off and put it off. Now it is time to go back and I’ll be seeing them so I thought I better get started on it so I can at least say I’m knitting along on it. I don’t much care for their pattern so I’ve decided to do a top down yoke pullover like I did for the A4A “back to school” campaign. I have four colors of yarn to create a one of a kind fairisle pullover – shades of blue, green, purple and a black. I’ve got the neck done and I’m ready to do the first set of increases for the yoke.
Bill got the new showerhead installed tonight so I’ll give it a try in the morning. I think I’ll watch the other Mystery Woman movie tonight – if I can find it buried under 10 balls of yarn!
When waves of adversity threaten to drown you in despair, pray to God. Remember David's persistence, and keep on asking God for help. - from The One Year® Book of Bible Prayers edited by Bruce Barton, Tyndale House Publishers (2000), entry for February 9
