Bill was up and off for his ultrasound today. Patti called and said that her boy was still sick and not going to school. She knew of another gal who is going to do house cleaning and lives just around the corner from me. Patti gave her my phone number. She called and came over. She spent four hours cleaning the bathroom and kitchen and some of what she did was fine, but there was a lot of “undone” stuff which didn’t make me very happy. I was glad to help her out in that she was recently laid off her job, but I like to get what I paid for. I don’t know if I will have her back or not. I’ll have to think on it. I don’t want someone on a regular basis but am looking to get things under control here.
I have contacted most of the vendors for Madrona so that is going well. I ate last night’s leftovers. Bill hadn’t arrived home yet. I called Beth to see how things were going. They had removed one of Cousin Bill’s chest tubes and he had walked around the bed. He was asking for dinner. Then at 7:15 she texted to say he had Afib’d again. As of 9:45 the meds had not brought him out of it.
I got word from Kendra tonight that the church elders approved the knitting group so now I have to write up a purpose statement. We’ll be discussing this during the potluck lunch following Wednesday’s Bible Study. I called all the gals tonight to remind them since I wasn’t there last Wednesday.
Nadine called and we caught up on the news. Then I called Deanna. Roberta, her daughter’s mother-in-law who I mentioned recently, died yesterday. Her son-in-law Raleigh is still having a tough time but they seem to have decided that fluid on his brain is causing most of his problems. And speaking of people who died, Beth said there have been six who died up on the floor now. The mother of the gal with the baby isn’t doing well. Her ‘new’ lungs aren’t working well and they are talking about sending her somewhere to be on a ventilator. That doesn’t sound good. The Vietnamese family is still there so Dad is still holding on. She wasn’t sure about the gal who got the lungs ahead of Bill. But she has met others since we left and there are a lot of stories out there.
That’s a wrap for tonight. I’m waiting to hear more from Beth. I wish the Afib business would stop. Oh yes – Bill talked to our nephew Jeremy tonight and they are due to arrive here February 8 to be stationed at Fort Lewis.
