According to the weatherman some commuters needed foghorns for this morning’s commute. We had very little fog here, however. I turned the heat on at 5:30 so it was nice and cozy when I got up at 7:30. And I remembered to turn on the alarm for tomorrow so I can get to the Ladie’s Prayer Day on time. I finally finished the buttonhole band on the Kyler cardigan last night and I started the hood this morning. This pattern is REALLY trying my patience. Oh, there is that word again – patience!
When Nadine called yesterday she asked what I was doing today. This morning she wrote and said that she forgot to tell me her cutting table was up for me to use whenever I need. That is because mine is covered and I have stuff piled in front of it so that I can’t get to it. I took those missives as my cue that she was ready for me to pay a visit. Bill took me over about eleven. I took the kit that I bought at Joann’s the other day and cut out the pieces. This was one of those where they say you can make the quilt in a day. Well, it took me several hours just to cut out the pieces! Somewhere along the way we took a break for some lunch. And when I was tired of cutting and standing at the cutting table, we moved to her computer and I helped her clean it up some. I showed her once again how to transfer embroidery designs from her computer to a flash stick.
We took off from her house around 3:30. I drove her into Key Center so she could get her mail and then to my house. She drove home from there. I’ve been on the computer since I got home. I’ve made a deal to buy the new Magna Quilter hoop. I’ve got a house cleaner lady coming on Jan 26 to help me recoup. And now I’m off to finish the night.
