Hi Diane. Was finally able to get out cyberwalking again and wanted to check on you and see what you were up to ...
Hi Carol, I get a "lump in my chest" reading your thoughts that you share .. thanks for reminding us how life is a

The music came on at 6:30 this morning and I was up and going. I got to church a little after eight. We rehearsed. I was chatting with Larry prior to going up to play a prelude before the first service and he asked it if I was okay. I said I was fine and inquired as to why he asked. He said he wondered because I hadn’t been giving him a hard time so far. Funny guy! We did the first service. Things went well until the “pastor’s pick” after the sermon. I was playing a piano sound on the song. I hit a wrong note and all of a sudden, no one else was playing or singing. I guess I shocked Larry into total confusion!
I kept playing until the end of the song. We avoided that snafu in the second service.
It has been a quiet rest of the day. I talked with Debi and she still plans to go to work tomorrow. She quit her pain meds cold turkey so I don’t know how that is going to work. Ellen called this afternoon. She got a book I sent of inspirational stories. She asked if we had floated away and I assured her we were ok but told her some of what folks have been going through here. On a similar note, Doris had some excitement today. She backed out of her driveway this morning into a six inch deep puddle that went most of the way across the road, and extended a block in each direction. It came from a broken water main in a neighbor’s yard. There were 6-8 trucks and oodles of people out there working until six tonight to fix the problem. I told her it was the lesser of several evils as experienced by all those in our area enduring the massive flooding.
I haven’t done much since I got home. I have six inches on a new 2x2 ribbed hat so I will have several things to turn in for Knit Guild Wednesday night. I should be able to do the other sleeve on that machine knit sweater tomorrow while Bill is gone. In between knitting I was whittling down emails on my yahoo mail address. One thing that I’ve heard about lately is a new law which goes into effect Feb. 10 that says that all children's clothing must prove that they don't have X amount of lead or other chemicals in it and clothing that can't prove it can't be sold or even donated. That includes used clothing in thrift stores. Another case of government run amuck! Too bad they are that concerned about all the chemicals that are going into the foods we eat.
I’m off. Enough insanity for one night…..
